Between The Lines

I love this piece of work. Everytime I look at this sculpture I derive new meanings from it. I like how the man is stretching upwards, while the lady is leaning gently towards him. I like how there's a bowl of water between the two of them. This bowl of water is overflowing. So much can be understood from the meaning of what the bowl is and why is it overflowing. The man is cupping the lady's hands. The prettiest thing of all is the cobwebs between the two faces.

But you know what's the best part?

The two of them are joined at the feet to make an almost perfect circle. How inseparable man and woman are!
